Judo throws and takedowns were modified by Jigo Kano, the founder, to make them safer to practice when developing a higher level of physical skill. It also served to disguise them and their true application from modern Japanese society and later on the western occupiers after world war 2.
The true nature and application of the techniques have been lost to most modern Judoka who treet the system purely as a wrestling sport. In truth, the original system studie Kata first up to black belt, and only then engaged in the werestling practice in order to develop some reaction skills.
This eBook shows you how to do the throw and practice it in a safe way to develop your physical skolls as much as possible. It then goes on to show the real hidden technique(s) and their application in self-defence and combat in general. The eBook also references other skills that are linked to the effective and efficient aplication of this throwing technique. These skills are taught in depth in other ePublications or courses.
This eBook is intended as a detailed explanation of the technique theory and practised in conjunction with a 'real' Jiu Jitsu self-defence class/club or, as part of a private study group by subscribing for the training workouts and programmes supplied by SeTs Ryu.
